Growing Place is a non-profit child development center that operates two campuses in Santa Monica — established in 1985 to provide high-quality early education to full-time working families. We are NAEYC accredited and inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach.

Growing Place seeks a part-time Office Manager for our Marine Park Campus. The Office Manager is the first point of contact for parents and children when they come to school, as well as a resource to the school community. The Office Manager should always exhibit professionalism, treat people with respect, and be firm but compassionate in how they address the day-to-day challenges of a rigorous and purposeful school.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a visible presence and act as a liaison between families, agencies, and the program

  • Support the organization of the annual fundraising with the parent community and Directors

  • Organize and support opportunities for professional development, team building, and collaborative work with teachers and parents

  • Promote community outreach and organize school events

  • Lead our admissions and enrollment process

  • Promote and support an active parent association

  • Assure compliance with applicable state and country codes and regulations, compliance with all State Licensing Child Care regulations, and NAEYC requirements

Candidate requirements:

  • BA in any field

  • Administration/Leadership coursework and experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience and understanding of how to work effectively in partnership with parents and teachers in a quality program

  • Superior organizational and office skills

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $17-$23 hourly
