Tuition Assistance

The main purpose of our Tuition Assistance Program is to encourage economic and ethnic diversity within our schools, and to help children remain at Growing Place if their family experience temporary financial crises.

The amount of assistance available is subject to the availability of funds. The Tuition Assistance Committee reviews all applications. This committee does not include current parents or teaching staff. Financial information provided is kept strictly confidential.

There are three kinds of aid available to families at Growing Place:

1. Tuition Reduction Families may be granted tuition reduction on an ongoing basis. A number of factors are considered in granting assistance, including full-time working status, financial need and parent involvement in the program. Our Marine Park campus has additional factors, as the funds are generously provided through a grant from the City of Santa Monica.

2. Emergency Aid Limited funds are available to current Growing Place families who are working full-time but experience an unexpected, temporary financial crises. The amount of aid granted is determined on a case-by-case basis and for a limited amount of time.

3. Other Agency Assistance We accept families that receive subsidies from other agencies.

Tuition Assistance applications will now be processed through FAST. Please indicate on your child’s application that you are interested in applying for Tuition Assistance.
